I secured a position in the Royal Armoured Corps after completing a three-day selection process. I then chose to transition to an infantry soldier within the Royal Yorkshire Regiment mid-training. At the end I completed phase one basic training in August 2024, undertaking both military and educational training. While in the army I enhanced my physical fitness, agility, and mental fortitude through structured military exercises. Then commenced phase two trade training at Catterick Garrison, emphasising discipline and teamwork skills. Engaged in extensive field exercises over 13 months, incorporating navigational tasks. Acquired essential skills in weapon handling and combat techniques while upholding Army Core Values.
