Summary

In 2021, I began a Care apprenticeship at Woodford House Nursing home. I was sixteen years old and had just left school. I worked towards a health and social care diploma, which I gained a distinction in. After gaining the qualification I stayed at Woodford House as a Care practitioner, on a zero hour contract. During this time I also began a Mental Health Nursing course with foundation year. I have completed the foundation and first year, however due to financial difficulties have decided it best to take some time away from University. I am a hard working individual with a passion for helping others and couldn't see myself in a career which didn't encourage others to feel confident and empowered.
