After leaving college with a diploma in child care I worked in a nursery and once I had passed my driving test I left to work for a number of private families as a nanny before finishing with my last employer in 2020. This prompted my husband and I to follow a long-term dream to relocate to Devon. Initially moving to Cornwall, while we looked for our new home, we have now settled into our new location in north Devon and I am looking forward to returning to work. I am looking for evening/night shift work during the week and any available hours at the weekend if required. During my time as a Nanny, I worked mainly on my own but, having started out in nurseries, I also enjoy being part of a team. I am an organised, hard-working individual who is efficient and dedicated in the employment position I hold. I am happy to be trained in using technology which comes with the position. I believe great customer service is an essential part of the retail experience and is an integral part of an employee’s responsibilities. We regularly shop with Waitrose as our local supermarket both in store and online. We often read the Waitrose Food magazine for ideas on new recipes and products.

- Following finishing my last nanny position during the COVID pandemic in November 2020 my husband and myself made the decision to relocate to the South West from Essex. I was able to take a work break while we prepared to move.

- During this time, I worked as a qualified private nanny for 5 different families. These would generally be for a period of between 3 and 10 years looking after 2-4 children whose ages would range from new born babies to 16 years old.
- Duties would include preparing meals, household chores, bathing, school drop-off/pick up, attending/organising after school activities, assisting with homework and general activities with children around the home and local area.
- These positions helped me gain experience in working to tight schedules, keeping the workplace tidy and presentable, good organisational skills, record keeping, daily reporting and constant communication with my employers.
- Each nanny position ended due to either the children starting primary school, parents working hours changing or children entering secondary education.
