  • When a part is scheduled to arrive at the warehouse and needs to be slotted but does not have dimensions listed on the system (ERP SAP), these lines need to be investigated and resolve using variance tools such as: identifying if this line (part) is already in the warehouse, using this part to determine the correct dimensions. This part then can slotted in its current location or another suitable bin location.
  • All airfreight shipments are slotted and binned in CROSSDOC. After these lines been in CROSSDOC for 24 hours or more, it has to slotted for a second time to be put-away into the main warehouse. The normal slotting process and steps are followed.
  • For any particular reason, a part slotted can go into ERRLOC. This need to be investigated and added onto ERRLOC spread sheet. Resolve these ERRLOC lines through investigation. Why this went into ERRLOC must be recorded on the spread sheet.
  • Do bin consolidation and finding new locations for parts currently in the warehouse if capacity (bin exceeds) or size issues are identified. All of those transfer order created during bin consolidation and re-warehousing must be confirmed on ERP SAP.
  • Weekly checks and compiling of ERRLOC statistics need to be sent through to the relevant supervisors and managers.
