Summary

Adaptable maintenance Engineer with experience in preventative and reactive maintenance across mechanical industry. Primarily working within the energy from waste industry for the past 15 years. In this time, I have built up a varied skill set including welding and fabrication, mechanical fitting and valve works.

I pride myself on being able to think on my feet, making decisions and problem solving to a high standard. I have a good ability to see solutions to problems by thinking outside of the box.

These skills have seen me progress up through the company I currently work for. Going from mechanical fitter to supervisor to project manager then finally into my current roll of engineering manager.

Outside of work, engineering remains my passion and I continue to use my skillset and mechanical knowledge. Being fortunate enough to have my own workshop with lathes, mills and welding equipment. I have recently designed and built a garden tractor for my children using a Honda power unit with multiple gears in a chain driven gearbox that I designed and fabricated myself. I also race go karts in my spare time, which requires regular servicing and engine machining, tolerance checking and rebuilding.
