  • Performed to best practices and quality standards to comply with the Trust policies and procedures.
  • Interviewed, recruited and trained housekeepers to improve team productivity and enable the wards to maintain a high standard of cleanliness. Also at the start of Covid-19 training corporate staff to assist the housekeeping staff on the wards.
  • Completed detailed inspection audits on specified timeframe to promote satisfaction and safety in the in-patient mental health units (LPFT), the community wards (LCHS) and some acute units (ULHT). These being National Standards of Cleanliness, IPC, annual Efficacy and PLACE audits.
  • General support for the rest of LPFT Housekeeping Supervisors, for example liaising with them all to ensure that patients had food following a recent quick change of food supplier due to TVF going out of business. Assisting another member of the Facilities team to roll out new regeneration food trollies across the Trust, organising supervisors meetings, organising demonstrations of new cleaning machines.
  • Working along side the project team and the Housekeeping supervisor for the opening of the two new wards at PHC.
  • Updating food safety manuals in line with current food regulations for the wards.
  • Designed a food safety audit form to be used by the facilities department to check all wards are following the correct procedures.
  • Answering daily queries about all things housekeeping.
