• Provides excellent customer service, in an approachable, positive and professional manner and assists customers with enquiries. Helps customers to find certain items, ordering online for them if necessary. Able to handle customer complaints professionally and help resolve any issues.
• Completed till training initially. Now Operates the till and processes card and cash payments appropriately. Also able to train new staff members on how to operate the tills.
• Works as part of a team to achieve sales targets.
• Replenishing the shop floor consistently, making sure all sizes are out for customers to give them an easier shopping experience.
• Visual merchandising and standards to make sure the shop floor looks presentable.
• Assisted with stock processing in delivery department during busy periods.
• Follows safety procedures at all times making sure the shop floor has no hazards.
• Assists in opening and closing the store when needed.

I started working as a weekend Salon Assistant at the start of 2022, and then started an apprenticeship with them in late August. This experience allowed me to develop valuable customer service, communication and teamwork skills. During this time it gave me a clearer understanding of the type of career I wanted to pursue and this wasn't hairdressing so I made the decision to leave this apprenticeship.

• I organised salon supplies frequently to make sure staff were equipped at all times.
• Welcomed clients and prepared them for their appointments, taking their jackets, making them a cup of tea and making them comfortable.
• Shampooed, conditioned and dried clients' hair.
• Maintained a clean salon environment at all times, sterilising tools and cleaning down surfaces.
• Booked and rescheduled appointments and answered the telephone in a correct and positive manner.
• Restocked and organised salon supplies to ensure staff had necessary materials available.
• Created relationships with clients, with good communication skills and listening.
• Followed health and safety procedures and became more familiar with them.
• Worked professionally in a busy salon environment whilst developing skills alongside.
