Work history

Lifeguard

David Lloyd
09.2021 - 09.2022
  • My experience as a lifeguard and first responder also helped me in emergency situations in this role, and I pride myself on my ability to act quickly and calmly in such circumstances.

Healthcare assistant

The HICA Group
11.2023 - 04.2024
  • My previous experience as a healthcare assistant taught me a lot about handling difficult situations and working under pressure.
  • At times shifts were very busy, and I developed a lot of patience from working there.
  • I also learned tremendously about how to adapt my communication style depending on the individual needs of the residents and how to effectively communicate with my colleagues to provide the best possible care.
  • My experience volunteering on cardiothoracic and neurology wards has prepared me for the working environment I might work in as well as my experience volunteering in A&E.
  • My wide breadth of volunteering has equipped me with great social skills and the ability to put patients at ease, for example during my time as a mental health ambassador I coached a student with mental health problems and helped her navigate the bullying she was facing at school.
