• In my role as a support worker, I aid people facing challenges like disability, illness, ageing, and social disadvantages. I am responsible for tasks such as bathing, grooming, medication compliance, and attending medical appointments as part of my duties. I provide emotional support by offering companionship and basic counselling, as well as helping with household tasks, cooking meals, and organising social and recreational events. I support clients in advocating for their rights, accessing services, and gaining independence through decision making. I am in charge of keeping precise records, collaborating with colleagues and relatives, and aiding in teaching essential life skills. I aim to bring empathy, patience, effective communication, problem-solving abilities, physical endurance, and organisational skills to my work to improve the quality of life and well-being of those I assist.

• In my role as a medical laboratory scientist at FETHA, I specialise not only in haematology and clinical chemistry, but also in histology and histopathology. This broad expertise enables me to play a pivotal role in diagnosing various diseases through the microscopic examination of tissue samples.
  In histology, I excel in staining techniques, ensuring that tissue samples are accurately prepared to highlight specific structures under the microscope. This involves employing a range of dyes and stains to distinguish between different cell types, and structures within the tissue. Additionally, I possess proficiency in waxing tissue samples, a critical step in the histological process, which involves embedding specimens in paraffin wax for long-term preservation and easy sectioning.
  Once prepared, I meticulously use microtomes to slice thin sections of tissue with precision and accuracy. These sections are then mounted onto slides for further staining and examination. In the realm of histopathology, I meticulously examine these stained tissue samples under the microscope, adeptly identifying any abnormalities or pathological changes. This necessitates a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of normal tissue morphology.
  Furthermore, I am skilled in tissue fixation techniques, ensuring that tissue samples are properly preserved in formalin to maintain their structure and integrity for accurate histological analysis.
