I am offering a strong foundation in mechanical skills, combined with hands-on experience in agricultural equipment maintenance. Knowledgeable about diagnosing and fixing machinery issues, with strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities. Ready to use and develop mechanical skills and maintenance techniques in an Agricultural Engineering Apprenticeship.
I run my own small grass-cutting business. I am responsible for doing the practical work, like mowing, strimming, and hedge cutting, whilst also making sure the equipment is all in good working order. I am also responsible for managing my time to make sure I can get all the work I need to be done completed on time. Finally, I am responsible for managing the financial side of it, making sure a suitable profit is made and making sure I know where my money is coming from and going to.
One of my responsibilities is machinery maintenance. Recently, I designed, cut and welded up a new ramp for my trailer. Another recent task I did was replacing the clutch on my quad bike, which involved stripping down the entire quad to gain access to the actual clutch. Another one of my responsibilities is operating machinery, e.g. tractor driving, doing things like making silage or feeding cattle, etc., digger work like drainage in fields or preparing ground for hardcore, etc.
I am good at working with my hands, and I particularly enjoy working on agricultural machinery I can do basic MIG welding and am proficient at working with either hand tools or power tools to replace parts, etc I have a strong work ethic and take pride in my work, ensuring it meets the highest standards, whilst sticking to a schedule I work well either independently or as part of a team, and I'm sociable and trustworthy
