Benjamin Baldwin

I carry overall responsibility for the pastoral and academic outcomes of the pupils in Upper School, including running the enrichment programme and helping students to find the best fit for secondary school. I am a member of the Senior Leadership Team and contribute to the vision and day-to-day running of the school. As a teacher of PE, I work across all key stages of the school to deliver outstanding physical education, develop inclusive sports teams and build skills in teamwork and resilience. I lead in athletics, cross country and Outdoor Adventurous Activities (OAA).

As a PE & Games Techer I worked across the Junior and Senior schools to teach outstanding PE and games to both boys and girls. I organised many large events and fixtures, leading the development of competitive teams in athletics, rugby and skiing. I also coordinated the Duke of Edinburgh Award and led the Bronze, Silver and Gold expeditions.

As a trainee teacher within the Teach Southeast SCITT programme, I was based at St Peters (Guildford) and All Hallows (Farnham) within the PE Department. I trained across key stages 3-5, delivered a range of sports clubs, acted as year 9/10 form tutor and assisted the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

Alongside studying part-time for my degree, I worked full-time as a teaching assistant from EYFS to KS1. I assisted with lesson preparation, classroom learning and delivered curriculum PE and games to all junior key stages. I also worked with the Head of Outdoor Education to deliver the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Contracted to consultant on risk assessment, crisis management and deliver security solutions to private sector companies.

Served the Royal Marines as a Commando in 45 Commando, 42 Commando and S.F.S.G. on training exercises and operational deployments.
