I am currently working as an operator in the European container department at Neptune Shipping Agency. In this role I arrange container shipments from across Europe into the UK and converse with clients to ensure their orders arrive efficiently. I also liaise across other departments to ensure smooth entry into the UK. I am also involved in procurement activities with external suppliers to provide cost effective pricing solutions. Additionally, I undertake client reporting, KPI's and data analysis on shipping trends.
I am currently working as a line chef at Foreign Muck. I have gained experience in a range of different kitchen scenarios undertaking a large responsibility for the kitchen and been the lead chef on many occasions. Alongside this I have gained a range of skills in food preparation before kitchen service. In doing this, I have added to my skill as a team worker by engaging with many different teams during service. During this time I have overcome countless dilemmas and challenges in the kitchen which have allowed me to use initiative to solve problems and keep calm during stressful and problematic situations. I prioritise and make decisions to ensure the shortest possible waiting times and thus ensuring I deliver the best service to all guests.
I have been working as a line chef in bandits alongside my employment at its sister restaurant Foreign Muck, gaining knowledge of a completely different menu and taking on leadership of the kitchen, alongside being able to work as the sole chef running the kitchen on numerous occasions.
I worked as a kitchen porter at Foreign Muck restaurant, Saltash, where I took on washing up and kitchen cleaning duties along with additional food heating and arrangement of kitchen equipment. Following from this, I took on a role as a line chef and am currently still working in this position.
I worked as a data manager in a temporary role at Clever student lets. As well as having this role, I also took on a few extra aspects of the job through helping with the company's home inspection team. When working in this role, my responsibilities included email contact with clients, filing and general office duties. I am computer literate with experience in a range of Microsoft office programs, along with numerous design programs and 3D modelling software packages through my studies at Plymouth University. Additionally, outside of office duties, I was part of the maintenance team where I undertook property checks. This involved visiting different houses and performing inspections which assessed the full property.
I worked as a delivery team member, delivering one of my local newspapers “The Herald” for a number of months during 2019/2020. In this role, I gained an experience of working to a deadline in all conditions. I was also able to meet customers needs and provide a service that I felt was rewarding. I greatly enjoyed the public interactions I encountered when working in this position and feel that I would like to further explore a social job environment as it is something I enjoy. Unfortunately, I was unable to carry on with this position due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
