My time with this firm has taught me a vast variety of skills and experiences in the domestic, industrial and commercial electrical installations. I have also had 3 years experience working in the automation division at this firm vastly increasing my knowledge in the mechanical and automated systems found within factories.

• Lead Electrician on renovating and upgrading Changing facilities in Moypark Hatchery which involved communicating effectively with my own team, other trades and the client to ensure all works completed were to a high standard.
• Fault Finding experiences varying from Faulty Contactor's/RCD switchgear at a Petrol station to Burnt out windings in a 3 phase delta motor in a Powder Coating Factory. The challenge of identifying and correcting faults is a rewarding experience.
• Worked as part of a 6 man electrical team in Dunbia Meats Llanybydder Installing control cables for various panels and killing lines which required the understanding of various drawings and specifications to correctly wire and commission.
• I have also been given the responsibility of mentoring various apprentices to help further their electrical understanding and careers.
• Lead electrician on installing a MCCB Panel supplying numerous machines and distribution boards within Kane Engineering. This involved installing Cable ladder, Cable tray, Steel conduit at high levels using a mobile boom.
• Worked in a 4 man team completing containment and wiring of new Viscotec Packing Machines in Greiner Packaging. This project involved working to a tight schedule of works to ensure downtime was kept to a minimum for the client.
• Lead electrician on modifying existing safety circuits on various press machines consisting of Siemans light curtains, Allen-Bradley Interlocks and Sieman Safety module. I co-ordinated with the client and operators to ensure downtime was kept to a minimum and the operator understood how the safety features functioned as well as how to reset the safety circuit in the event of it dropping out.
• I have also been given basic training in Sieman PLC software to download/upload a program to a Siemans device and how to write basic programs for various small projects. It is vital to understand PLC ladder logic to fault find various scenarios and understand how a machine operates
• Worked in a competent team to manufacture various control panels for multiple clients. This consisted of designing panel drawings, constructing and wiring control panel to the drawings/specification, installing and commissioning the control panel on site.
• I have been Sub-contracted to the maintenance team within Veolia Duncrue Street for numerous months to assist with the planned maintenance works on site as well as liaison with operators in the control room to identify and rectify faults on site. I have also been involved in 3 planned shutdowns at this site which consisted of inspecting and repairing MCC Rack Panels as well as calibrating numerous temperature probes and pressure gauges within the two plants.
