I’m a 17-year-old from Maldon, currently finishing my GCSEs, where I’m retaking English and studying Functional Maths at Chelmsford college going 3 days a week, alongside retaking english and maths, im taking a course in personal development, which is giving me the knowledge of life skills, psychology and health and wellness. I'm passionate about cars and have had a love for them ever since I was born, 2 months after turning 17 I passed my driving test and earned my full license, and I now proudly own my own car, an Abarth 500. My enthusiasm for cars extends beyond just driving, I spend my spare time detailing cars, teaching myself useful skills such as restoring scuffed and faded paintwork , wet sanding orange peel off resprayed cars, and getting a mirror finish, which i now want to do have a career in, because i enjoy the work.

I have a strong desire to learn more about paintwork and bodyshop skills, I'm determined to pursue a career in this field. I’m particularly interested in becoming a car painter or working as something similar , as I believe I have both the hand skills and the passion to succeed. Im pondering on the thought of enrolling in Colchester Institute next year to pursue a Level 2 Certificate in Paintwork and Bodyshop to gain experience and the certificate, that should help me get a job in a bodyshop.

I take pride in being reliable and committed to my work. I believe in showing up and giving it my all, even when things get tough I’m the type of person who will come into work no matter what, even if my arms fallen off, and i will still do the job right, to perfection, i once spent 8 hours a day, for 5 solid days pressure washing a massive driveway with a tiny electric powerwasher, getting the best result i could with the equipment i had, i know how to take bumpers off, body panels, interior panels without ripping clips off, and even entire dashboards and airbags out.

I’m driven to grow in the automotive industry and want to learn from experienced professionals, whether it's working on a car's paint, detailing the interior and exterior, or improving my skills in the bodyshop trade, I am eager to get hands on and continue growing in the automotive world.
