BEN LAMBERT

CIRENCESTER

Summary

Adaptable and detail-focused Project Manager with a diverse background spanning high-end residential construction, large-scale infrastructure, and complex engineering environments. Known for bringing structure, calm, and clarity to fast-moving or high-pressure projects, I combine practical problem-solving with a sharp eye for governance, contract control, and stakeholder management.

Whether managing systems on a £10bn defence project or delivering heating solutions for some of the UK’s most exclusive private homes, I’ve built a reputation for being hands-on, solutions-driven, and dependable. I’m equally confident working with technical teams, subcontractors, clients, and senior leadership — always focused on getting the job done right, and making sure the process is clear and well-managed from start to finish.

With a foundation in elite sport, I bring discipline, resilience, and a team-first mentality to every role — always looking to improve delivery, build strong relationships, and take pride in the quality of the work I’m part of.

Work history

Project Manager

Aqua Consultants

01.2025 - Current

Lead the governance and delivery of a portfolio of complex, design-led projects within the water and utilities sector, ensuring full alignment with internal IMS standards, NEC3/4 contracts, and client-specific audit requirements.

• Track live project hours, costs and resource allocation to keep programmes on time and within budget, ensuring teams are deployed effectively and commercial performance is protected.

• Review and manage all contracts and work orders across my portfolio — clearly establishing what’s in and out of scope, identifying gaps, and making sure everything stands up to audit scrutiny.

• Work directly with external clients through both working and steering groups, maintaining detailed action logs, ensuring transparent communication, and supporting decision-making across all levels.

• Led on an AMP8 assurance transformation project, identifying key delivery risks, gaps and process issues across the programme, and helping shape a structured improvement plan now used across the wider business.

• Designed and introduced a Health & Safety risk and near miss register — improving visibility and consistency of reporting across projects, and closing a key gap in internal tracking.

• Take ownership of internal governance processes and manage NEC3/4 commercial responsibilities, including early warnings, compensation events, risk registers and milestone invoicing.

• Known for being detail-focused and dependable, bringing structure, accountability and practical solutions to complex delivery environments.

(Role ended due to company liquidation)

Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of multiple high-spec residential and commercial energy projects across some of the UK’s most exclusive properties, with individual project values ranging from £20k to £1.2m.

• Oversee the full project lifecycle — from post-sale handover through to design, installation, commissioning, and final client handover of bespoke ground and air source heat pump systems.

• Act as the single point of contact for high-net-worth clients, including ultra-high-value individuals and their representatives, ensuring expectations are managed and delivery remains seamless throughout.

• Negotiate and manage client contracts, including agreeing variations, enforcing terms, and keeping all works within agreed budgets and timeframes.

• Lead regular meetings with both clients and internal teams to drive progress, provide updates, and resolve issues before they escalate.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across technical design, installation, and client-side stakeholders — tailoring communication to suit individual site contractors, PAs, site managers and estate teams.

• Monitor budgets and timescales closely, proactively identifying variations and recommending smarter delivery routes to protect both client investment and internal margins.

• Personally visit each site to assess risks and feasibility, regularly working with in-house specialists to resolve challenges and communicate solutions clearly back to clients.

• Notify finance teams of key milestones to support prompt and accurate invoicing.

• Prepare and issue method statements and risk assessments for all project phases, ensuring client confidence and compliance are maintained.

• Raise and review subcontractor work orders to support seamless project execution.
