• Grew team from ∼2 to ∼26 people
• Co-developed key research strategy, workstreams as well as decision making governance with the Research Lead from project inception
• Ensured that the research strategy aligned with Gemini research roadmap and key blind spots were covered (research capabilities such as proactivity, personalisation and multi-step dialogue)
• Provided technical expertise such as flagging research methods used by other teams (e.g., product engineering) to accelerate delivery
• Co-wrote key details for the Ethics Model Card to ensure that Trust & Safety were satisfied with our approach to responsible deployment
• Set up training safety pipeline to ensure Gemini model aligned with Commitments laid out by The White House
