Accomplishments

  • After joining the Hilton Hotels Plc from Deloitte in 2013, a company that made a monthly revenue hovering around $3.6m and an annual turnover of $39m, I was seconded to Transcorp Hotels Calabar Ltd a subsidiary of TH Plc where I was instrumental to the full conversion of the company's financial statements from GAAP to IFRS in line with requirements of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) and the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) roadmap to IFRS.
  • Together with the Financial Controller, we were able to revive a Hospitality business that made a loss of about $261k yearly to profitability in 2016 and since then there has been consistent improvements in the results of the company.
  • Succeeded in putting in place inventory control measures that checked leakages and pilferages in core cost centers (Food & Beverages and Maintenance) and ultimately reduced cost of sales by 40%.
