• As an electrical maintenance engineer at Mount Vernon Hospital, my role would involve ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all electrical systems within the hospital premises. Here are some key responsibilities:
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchgear, distribution panels, and lighting systems to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Respond promptly to any electrical breakdowns or emergencies within the hospital to minimise downtime and ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
• Ensure that all electrical systems and equipment comply with relevant safety standards and regulations,
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment and techniques to identify the root cause of problems and implement effective solutions.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for the installation of new electrical systems or upgrades to existing ones, ensuring that work is carried out safely and in accordance with hospital requirements.

Weekly PPM carried out to all four Substations and 8 switching rooms on Hospital

1 week per month rota call-out on a 7 day 24 hour duration basis cover all

aspect of maintenance including plumbing, carpentry and electrical.

Repairs and maintenance to all Nurse Call Systems throughout Hospital site

• Design, install, and maintain electrical systems in residential buildings
• Plan and install wiring, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures in accordance with BS7671 codes and safety standards.
• Install and connect domestic appliances including PAT testing
• Troubleshoot electrical issues within residential properties, including circuit faults, power outages, and perform repairs or replacements as necessary.
