Summary

I am a final-year student at the University of Manchester in the School of Social Sciences. Throughout my time at University, I had the chance to study a range of Business modules, including Strategy, Marketing, and Sports Business, in which I got a first in all, the latter a 79. I have a genuine passion for Sport, and I have developed, through a range of experiences including an internship at Leagas Delaney, the skills to make me a great candidate for the Graduate Scheme at IMG.

Work history

Sports Engagement Officer

University of Manchester Politics Society
Manchester
09.2024 - 07.2025
  • I am currently the Sports Engagement Officer for the Politics Society. This has allowed me to put into practice my organisation skills as I have to look after two men's football teams, a women's football team and a women's netball team ensuring equal opportunity for all students from Manchester.
  • Furthermore, it has given me the chance to practice communication with clients and negotiation skills, securing sponsorship and funding from the University. Additionally, it has developed my time management and organisation skills as I have had to balance this with other commitments, such as my role as the Head of Legal Research for the University of Manchester Renewables Committee.
  • It also helps demonstrate my passion for sport, something that will help me thrive in an environment like IMG.

Vacation Scheme

Walker Morris
Leeds
04.2025 - 04.2025
  • I recently completed a Vacation Scheme at Walker Morris, an opportunity which had well over 500 applicants.
  • During this week, I had the opportunity to hone my collaboration skills in a professional environment, participating in completing various tasks throughout the week, including a negotiation workshop.
  • Additionally, I drafted contracts and completed research tasks for multi-million pound deals.
  • The attention to detail and inquisitiveness required to complete these tasks effectively will help me thrive in this Graduate Scheme at IMG.

Sports Law Arbitration Moot

LawInSport
Virtual
10.2024 - 03.2025
  • I competed in the 6th Edition of the Sports Law Arbitration Moot offered by LawInSport. This gave me the opportunity to practice valuable skills such as collaboration and the ability to collate and present material.
  • I have since built on this, attending the Rugby Union and The Law conference held by LawInSport, which gave me further insight into broadcasting and the commercial side of sports. Furthermore, after that conference, I am in the process of writing articles for LawInSport, helping to demonstrate my curiosity about the commercial side of sports.

Intern

Compass Box Whisky
London
09.2024 - 09.2024
  • I had the opportunity to help man a stand for Compass Box Whisky at the London Whisky Exchange Show.
  • Throughout the day I interacted with hundreds of clients and had the opportunity to practice skills such as negotiation and client communication.
  • Additionally, it encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and engage with my curiosity, something needed to thrive in this great opportunity as I experience different departments within this Graduate Scheme at IMG.

Intern

Leagas Delaney
London
06.2024 - 06.2024
  • I had the opportunity to complete a week-long internship at Leagas Delaney, an advertising agency that is at the top of its field, an experience I thoroughly enjoyed.
  • Throughout this week, I focused particularly on the strategy department, where I completed research tasks based on client briefs. Additionally I created decks to aid creative's, which were used to aid in their presentation to the client.
  • I would take these industry-specific skills to IMG, which would allow me to contribute throughout the Graduate Scheme.
  • Aside from the skills I developed through the experience, it reaffirmed my interest in a career in marketing, specifically one where I could combine this with my passion for sport.

Intern

DAC Beachcroft
London
09.2023 - 09.2023
  • During my time at DAC Beachcroft, I got the opportunity to learn skills relevant to a career at IMG.
  • Firstly, I had the opportunity to research the ASA regulations and present my findings to colleagues, which I received excellent feedback on.
  • Additionally, I had the chance to refine skills such as attention to detail, curiosity, and research. These are all skills necessary for me to thrive in this Graduate Scheme as I rotate through departments.

Charity Bike Rider

Max Windle Memorial Trust
07.2023 - 08.2023
  • I, with one friend, completed a 1400-mile cycle ride for a local mental health charity in memory of a friend who lost his life to suicide. This 14-day ride was organised and planned by us around the original 5 Nations rugby stadiums and raised just under £14,000.
  • We also coordinated local and national coverage from various RFUs. When combined with social media coverage, the ride's exposure increased, and subsequently, more money was raised for charity.
  • I also further developed my communication and negotiation skills by liaising with sponsors (Sigma Sports).
