Barnaby Oliver White

London

Summary

I’m a 2:1 History graduate from Exeter University with work experience in a television production company, a human rights and criminal law firm, and for a former General Counsel for Channel 4 News now running Creators Counsel. I currently work for Publicis Media as a Digital Strategy Executive. I am interested in media compliance, making the online world a safe place for all in an ever-changing social media landscape and in providing evidence-based value to the public through research and analysis.

My work experience has ignited my desire to work in public-serving, evidence-based work environments which also have commercial aspects to them – they have also developed my critical thinking skills, consumer understanding and an ability to interpret data, create insights and hence contribute to policy development. I enjoy research, am meticulous and forensic. The opportunity to join Ofcom’s graduate scheme as a Policy Enforcement & Research Graduate, with it’s four 6 month placements excites me and suits me – I am adaptable and always pursue opportunities to learn and grow professionally as evidenced by the courses I have taken alongside my job role.
