I am a passionate historian with an academic background in Classics (Ancient History)combined with professional experience in archival work, recruitment, and digital content creation. My work has consistently centred on making history accessible, engaging, and relevant to contemporary audiences.
As an Assistant Archivist, I developed strong research, cataloguing, and collections-handling skills. Alongside this, my work as a content creator has seen me publish articles, speak on educational panels, and be invited to speak on BBC radio 4.
Through my digital platform, I have bridged the gap between academic scholarship and public engagement, using social media to connect new and younger audiences with the past. I bring a combination of academic knowledge, curatorial awareness, and innovative communication skills.
As an assistant Archivist, my role was to manage and maintain
documents and other materials that have historical importance for individuals and organisations relating to the filmmaker Stanley Kubrick and other special collections.
A large part of my work was related to making information accessible to users, increasingly in digital format.
I liaised with outside organisations who were interested in the
archive and booked tours for schools and other staff members. I also completed research tasks given to me by my line manager relating to the historical background of the university.
This job was extremely fitting for me as I have a passion for history and research.
I worked at Urban Outfitters for nearly 3 years starting as a sales
advisor. Working in
fashion retail in an area that recieved thousands of tourist a day broadened my horizons allowing me to perfect my customer service and time management
skills. Through my
dedication and tenacity to the store I was then promoted to
Womens wear Team leader.
In this managerial role I had much more responsibility which
included making sure the
department ran smoothly, interviewing potential sales advisors and
ensuring a smooth
shutdown and cashing up the store.
As a recruiter at The Thomas Young Group, I specialised in sourcing top-tier talent for senior positions within leading architecture firms.
My role involved identifying and connecting with highly qualified candidates whose expertise and vision aligned with the unique
needs of each client. I was responsible for managing the full recruitment process, ensuring a seamless match between firms and professionals capable of driving innovation and excellence in the
architectural industry.
I’m a full-time content creator with a unique focus on history, beauty, and fashion. On TikTok, I create engaging educational
content that explores historical topics, while my Instagram showcases my passion for fashion and beauty. I’ve had the
opportunity to collaborate with renowned brands including L’Oréal, Prada Beauty, House of CB, and ASOS to name a few. Beyond social media, I speak on educational panels, highlighting the deep connections between history and today beauty and fashion industries. Due to my academic content on social media I was also invited to speak on BBC radio 4 and Represent radio whilst appearing on many podcasts as a guest as well.
