• The liaison service provides assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic interventions for patients aged 18 and above across Emergency Department (ED) and inpatient wards at BGH. The service receives approximately 4,000 referrals per year with around 30 inpatients supported at any time.
• Job involve

- Rapid assessment and management of ED and ward referrals, including complex comorbidity and risk.

- Senior decision-making to support safe discharge planning and patient flow.

- Consultation and advice to acute medical/surgical teams and participation in relevant MDTs.

- Provide senior clinical leadership across Liaison, ensuring safe, compassionate, efficient care.

- Participate in MDT discussions, handovers, case allocation and provide senior reviews for complex presentations.

- Undertake MHA assessments (including Section 136) and act as Section 12(2) approved clinician and Responsible Clinician as required.

• Responsible clinician, providing clinical leadership for the team, direct clinical assessments and consultations for patients under care of Enfield CMHTOP.
• Scope of work includes:

- Medical input and leadership in Once weekly MDT referral/allocation/team meetings.

- Teaching and supervising medical staff and other professionals in all aspects of psychiatric care.

- Taking part in management activities and governance processes related to post and wider service within which it is embedded.

- Participate in trust-wide day-time consultant psychiatrist second on-call Rota for Health Based Place of Safety situated at Chase Farm Hospital (1:32) and trust wide on call rota.

- To attend and participate in academic program of the Trust, including lectures and seminars of internal CPD program.

- To comply with regulations of the Royal College of Psychiatrists on Continuing Medical Education (CPD).

- Supervising two trainees – GP trainee and core psychiatry Trainee. I also once supervise ST4-6 higher psychiatry trainee that works on Cornwall villa and Enfield CMHTOP.

• Responsible clinician, providing clinical leadership for MDT on Cornwall villa ward, managing 13 older adult inpatients (male and female) with variety of psychiatric diagnoses, many of whom can be detained under section of the Mental Health Act (MHA).
• My responsibilities includes but not restrictive to below:

- Chair MDT Meetings on ward twice weekly and as well as other regular ward or team meetings including staff supervision

- Conduct assessments, request investigations and contribute to formulation of unwell psychiatric inpatients.

- Formulate treatment plans and oversee implementation and evaluation of these treatment plans.

- Contribute to management of patient flow with view to manage bed capacity effectively and avoid or flag up potential delayed transfers of care.

- Comply with all legal obligations covering clinical practice e.g. Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, safeguarding procedures.

- Complete relevant paperwork, including maintaining electronic record and participating in routine outcome monitoring of clinical work.

• 3 months Acting up consultant placement followed by final 3 month in my higher training in Dual General Adult and Old Age Psychiatry followed by final 3 months of my higher training as ST7.
• I provide clinical assessment and management of Older people in community, crisis team and Memory services. Responsibility involve leading a multidisciplinary team, providing leadership, guidance and support.

• One year Liaison endorsement in Psychiatry, spent in at Lister Hospital Mental Health liaison team. Scope of work covered both working age and old age service users, providing comprehensive assessment and liaison service to people who are experiencing mental health difficulties who attend emergency department and who are admitted to Clinical Decision Unit (CDU). Work also covers assessment and advice on treatment of people who have been admitted to medical, surgical and obstetric wards who are experiencing mental health difficulties. I also provided assessments to people who present with co-morbid presentations of either substance misuse or physical issues, and mental health difficulties in emergency department and wards with severe mental illness. Working within the framework of MHA and MCA, capacity assessment has been a complex tasks that required joint assessment with medical team

Supported clinical leadership within multidisciplinary team on a General Adult treatment Ward managing 16 adult inpatients with various psychiatric diagnoses.

Facilitated MDT meetings bi-weekly and participated in regular ward and team meetings, including staff supervision.

Assisted in conducting assessments, requesting investigations, and contributing to the formulation of treatment plans for psychiatric inpatients.

• Conducted daily out-patient clinic under supervision of clinical supervisor.

Assisted in palliative care psychiatry by spending one day per week in hospice.

• Reviewed patients nearing end of life to support their care needs.

• My allocation for my first year of higher training at the level of ST4 is in the acute services within Peterborough city, my time was equally divided in Community Crisis Home Resolution Treatment Team Out-Patient for the north and Acute In-patient wards (The Maples)
• I attended one day per week special interest in ECT every Tuesday.

• A WHO collaborative Centre for research, training and treatment of alcohol and substance use disorders and comorbidities. Center afliated to Harvard university hospitals.
• In the clinical domain, I am assigned mainly to design, improve and to implement a continuum of clinical services to the outpatient program to widen and sustain the continuity and scope of provided services.
• My duties include outpatient services for people with substance misuse disorders and comorbidities (medication management and detoxification, group therapies, family meetings and psychoeducation).
• I assisted as well in the improvement of service delivery in the detoxification unit program, the voluntary male residential rehab and in the general OPC.
• In the research domain, I joined many research projects and maintained my publications in peer reviewed articles. I contributed to the journal club. I joined committees of collaboration with international organizations (ISAM, WHO).
• In the training domain I joined the NRC team in delivering trainings to nurses and primary health care physicians. I am certified to supervise therapist conducting the group therapy in the scope of Matrix intensive out-patient program. Additionally I provide short term supervisions to residents affiliated to Al Ain medical school and Rashed hospital as a part of their residency training.

• Directing a psychiatric Clinic, providing diversity of services, with the collaboration staff from different background of experience, psychiatrists, psychologists and hypnotherapist. My work covered Various psychiatric presentations including substances abuse, anxiety and mood disorders, personality disorders and psychotic spectrum disorders. The working team is trained to work with different age groups of Adolescents, Adult and old Age care.

• Providing diversity of services, with the collaboration staff from different background of experience, psychiatrists, psychologists and hypnotherapist. Services cover Various psychiatric presentations including substances abuse, anxiety and mood disorders, personality disorders, psychotic spectrum disorders and Psycho-oncology.
• The center is one of the main provider for mental health services for expats, my work allowed me to help and gain experience working with clients with diversity of backgrounds. I was also providing psychiatric consultation and psychotherapy for French speaking expats.

• Leading a multidisciplinary team for the substance dependence unit, working with personal from different background experience including psychologists, social workers, recovering addicts, art therapist and trained nurses.
• Providing assessment and treatment plan for clients as well as supervision and weekly ward meetings to discuss overall progress of each client.
• Out-patient follow up is mainly based on The Matrix model of Intensive outpatient program plus individual and family therapies.
• Meanwhile I was directing a psychiatric Clinic, providing diversity of services, with the collaboration staff from different background of experience, psychiatrists, psychologists and hypnotherapist.

• Physician responsible for the addiction unit at the Behman hospital, having main responsibilities of facilitating the detoxification period for people who suffer from substance abuse, applying motivational intervention and CBT techniques in individual and group therapies.
• Once weekly, Refugee clinic in collaboration with international NGO.s in assessment, psychotherapeutic support and biological intervention for refugees.

• Nongovernmental organization funded by ford organization working in cooperation with Egyptian ministry of health and W.H.O providing early detection and primary prevention of H.I.V. for high risk group among drug addicts and sex worker, acting as a general practitioner physician with special training in sexually transmitted diseases and home based care of H.I.V. clients, also providing counselling services.

• I have rotated on a six-monthly basis making a total of 12 month in addiction, six month in learning disabilities, six month in Old Age Psychiatry, and 24 month general Adult Psychiatry and also Liaison Psychiatry.
• Training was accredited from the Royal College of psychiatrist till 2008.
• Lancing in oncology center, assessment and management of psychological co-morbidity.

• Trained under, supervision of staff, developed skills in managing medical emergencies in A&E, intensive treatment units. and elective cases in medicine. Also attended surgery inclusive of surgical emergencies, obstetrics, and gynecology and one-month training in Oncology surgery Center.
