Delivered technical oversight across highways, structures, drainage, earthworks, geotechnics and utilities, ensuring compliance with DMRB and MCHW requirements while fostering relationships with statutory undertakers, local stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams for successful project delivery.

• Designed new signalised junction for construction vehicle access to Euston Station site from Hampstead Road, including a haul road and site access road for major utility works. Coordinated multiple stakeholders and designers, supporting a 5m deep utility corridor beneath the haul road using digital twin within BIM environment. Collaborated with structural engineers to design retaining wall and utility protection, ensuring full compliance with HS2 policies and procedures and obtaining necessary sign off from highway authorities including TfL and LB Camden.

Housing Infrastructure Fund – Hoo Peninsula Roads Improvement (£86M), Medway | Medway Council | Project Manager

• Executed in-house VISSIM and LinSig modelling to facilitate design optioneering, addressing challenges identified in Strategic Modelling by FORE/Project Centre. Managed risk early, conducted detailed cost plan reviews, and coordinated programme management to optimise concurrent operations across multi-disciplinary teams. Project Centre provided EIA, highways, traffic, traffic signals, lighting, drainage and structures designs, WCHAR, EQiA and utility management in conjunction with supporting the Council’s EIA and Consultation teams.
• Scheme included strategic modelling, VISSIM and LinSIG modelling, new grade separation junctions, upgrade of 6 major junctions/roundabouts, on-slip overbridge and significant embankment and earthworks, new relief roads for housing developments, upgrade of single lane carriageway to 2-lanes, retaining walls, new and upgrade of existing drainage infrastructure, VRS assessments and proposals, new lighting, signals and signage inc, VMS.

Lea Bridge Road – Mini Holland | Waltham Forest | NEC Project Manager (completed)

• Designed £11M cycle improvement scheme through urban and rural landscapes. Converted Whipps Cross Roundabout into major signal controlled junction, overcoming challenges related to sensitive land boundaries, limited drainage options, and high traffic flows. Conducted early optioneering and stakeholder engagement to identify optimal solutions, aiding the timely phasing of works. Multiple clients and third-party interfacing along the route required special attention when working on the 8 different phases and rolling out the design for delivery.

HS2 Schemes – Align | Project Manager (completed)

• Preliminary design for access, pre and post-condition surveys, structural assessments, route survey and signing, preliminary and detail designs for access routes (junction improvements, roundabouts and slip lanes).
• Schemes included modelling, traffic assessments, new temporary access designs including earthworks and drainage, lighting and signal designs.

Stoneferry Road Corridor Improvement Scheme | Hull City Council | Project Director (completed)

• RIBA 2 - 4 design of the £13m Stoneferry Road Corridor. The scheme was proposed to reduce congestion and enhance economic vitality by increasing network capacity in conjunction with a range of integrated improvements for pedestrians, bus users and cyclists. Key deliverables included strategic modelling (SATURN), business case, VISSIM and LinSIG modelling for the corridor, Highway design of 4 signalised roundabouts, active travel improvements, drainage, pavement, traffic signal, VMS and lighting designs.

Watford High Street & Clarendon Road | Watford Borough Council | Project Director (completed) £9m

• Implemented public realm and traffic safety improvements to minimise motor vehicle dominance, enhance 'High Street' identity, and promote cycling and pedestrianisation.

Vauxhall Way Corridor Improvements | Luton Borough Council | Project Director (completed)

• A Vissim model was developed to support the review considering committed development, background traffic growth and increasing demands at Luton Airport. Study extents focused on Vauxhall Way as a key north – south corridor for through traffic. Modelling recommended a series of junction mitigation measures, focusing on prioritising future sustainable modes of transport, including bus priority.
• To increase entry and exit lane capacity, modelling indicated the requirement to widen Vauxhall Way facilitating inclusion of a dual carriageway. Modelling identified Vauxhall Way would be sensitive to gridlock if it remained as a single carriageway. Doubling the 2.8km route reduced delays and ensured that traffic avoided re-routing through the low-capacity and sensitive residential roads.
• Scheme included:
• Conversion of the roundabout at the junction of Airport Way/Vauxhall Way to a traffic signalised crossroads
• Carriageway widening to provide dual carriageway and segregated cycle facilities adjacent to the route
• Removal of footbridge and introduction of new footbridge at the junction with Eaton Green Road/Harrowden Road roundabout
• Removal of footbridge over link and provision of at grade Toucan crossing
• Conversion of the roundabout at the junction of Crawley Green Road/Vauxhall Way to a traffic signalised crossroads; and removal of pedestrian subway with provision of at grade crossing facilities
