Chef

Dessert Wonderland
Edgware, City of London
10.2023 - 12.2023

My responsibilities as a chef at Dessert Wonderland went well beyond simply preparing mouth watering delicacies; I was also in charge of making sure that everything functioned properly. One of the most important parts of my routine was opening the shop, where I made sure all the machines were set for the day's production and at the proper temperature. I made sure that everything was in good operating order, whether it was the freezer for keeping supplies or the oven for baking, to maintain consistency in our products. In my kitchen, upholding the highest standards of hygiene was a must. I kept the greatest standards of cleanliness by completely cleaning and sanitising the area before putting any food on display. This improved Dessert Wonderland's reputation while also guaranteeing the security of our customers. My familiarity with the menu enabled me to provide consumers with the finest offers and recommendations based on their individual interests. I took great satisfaction in helping customers find the ideal sweet treat, whether it was a seasonal special or a signature dessert, thus improving their entire experience. In the kitchen, safety came first above all else. I followed strict rules to guarantee that every food was handled and prepared safely, reducing the possibility of contamination or illness caused by food. By placing a high priority on food safety procedures, 1 inspired confidence in coworkers and clients, establishing Dessert Wonderland as a reliable location for delicious treats.

Retail cashier

Budgens
Northwood, Hillingdon
07.2021 - 11.2022

Answering customers' questions is an essential part of my job as a retail cashier at Budgens. I handle every question with care and a desire to help, whether it's finding things in the store, giving product information, or answering questions. I recognise that having a thorough understanding of the goods and services on offer is crucial for creating customer confidence and improving their entire purchasing experience.

One of my most important responsibilities at the end of my shift is closing the till, requiring accuracy and paying attention. I count the money in the till very carefully to make sure it matches the transactions that are on file. This process guarantees that errors are quickly found and fixed in addition to assisting in maintaining the accuracy of the store's financial records. I help the store maintain financial accountability and operational efficiency by being careful to shut the till correctly. In addition, a professional shop opening sets the tone for the entire day. I take an organised approach to this duty, making sure that product is stocked, displays are neat, and all necessary equipment is operational. When it comes to opening, every little detail matters because it creates the foundation for a smooth and well-organised shopping experience. By getting the day off to a good start, I contribute to the atmosphere that welcomes clients and encourages a successful workday.
