Summary

Hello, my name is Ashu and I am a first generation immigrant from Nepal. I have a fascination, more of an obsession with engineering, technology, motors and space. However I am most interested by engineering because of my dad and grandad, who were both military engineers, but also because of how much it actually affects and improves everybody's every day life. I also respect the fact that all engineering professions improve somebody's quality of life, regardless of social status and ability. However, I am specifically engrossed by mechanical and mechatronic engineering. I explicitly love these two engineering disciplines over the others not because my dad and grandad were mechanical engineers in the military, but because its so encapsulating to see the advancements we have made in places like the motoring world, astronomical world and manufacturing world. The fact that we have fully automated processes that had human workers only 5 years ago is crazy. The speed technology is advancing due to engineering is what I find so cool and I will be a part of.
