I have been working as a freelance singer for over twenty years and during this time my work has taken me all over the world. I have worked with some of the finest conductors, stage directors, voice teachers, vocal coaches and language coaches in the industry. I have acquired a broad knowledge and experience which I am keen to share with young singers of all abilities.
I have taught and coached singers of all levels privately for many years. Two components of my training comprised of studying ‘teaching of singing’ techniques and ‘performance and communication skills’. This included placements in schools in East London assisting in the running of music and drama improvisation workshops with the children. I have also gained experience of music and drama workshops in Primary and Secondary schools in the Cardiff area, with the education department of Welsh National Opera. I have worked in various prisons in England taking a key role in music workshop projects, including teaching and performing a fully staged production of West Side Story with the inmates of Winchester Prison.
