Summary

have shown a great deal of interest and passion in supporting children and adolescents with varying degrees of support needs within my role. I have worked closely with one young expectant mother to support her and reduce the risk of relapse or further family intervention from services and was rehabilitated with my guidance and wrap around interventions that I supported to put in pace for her. I provided an empathetic, non-judgmental and positive service. I have proved my ability to work confidently and independently with some challenging cases, without guidance or advice on pathways available due to my gained knowledge in these areas. Despite my high level of independent skills, I am not averse to receiving comments or advice without offence. However, I have a level of self-awareness and respect to support my best practice. My perseverance through my own personal adversities as a child who faced parental substance use and trauma has enabled me to focus on what interventions are important for children and it is evident this drives my motivation to have a positive impact on those in need and the services offering care / support in my community.
