Work History

Driving instructor

I would describe myself as a patient, positive, energetic, knowledgeable and industrious teacher.

I have a flexible style of teaching that can cater to all students with all different abilities. during my time of being an instructor i have managed to get a lot of people through their driving tests, managing to keep people calm and collective during a very stressful and nerve racking time for them, to then gain the freedom they have wanted to achieve.

  • Administered mock exams for preparedness assessment prior to actual driving test.
  • Promoted fuel-efficient driving practices contributing to environmental conservation efforts.
  • Maintained high safety standards by conducting detailed vehicle inspections before each driving session.
  • Guided nervous beginner drivers through their initial experiences behind the wheel providing reassurance and encouragement.
  • Fostered safe driving habits, resulting in students becoming responsible motorists.
  • Improved student confidence for successful driving tests with patient and clear instruction.
  • Prepared learners for emergency situations during lessons, ensuring swift response under pressure.
  • Adapted teaching methods to individual learning styles, ensuring comprehensive understanding of road rules.
  • Assisted students in building confidence behind the wheel through gradual exposure to different road conditions and situations.
  • Provided constructive feedback after every lesson, leading to continuous improvement in students' driving skills.

I came out of the childcare sector due to me having my son, i wanted to be able to have some flexibility around him going to school, i then always wanted to still stay working with people so i then became a driving instructor.

My child is now 13 and i feel i would really like to get back to working with children and helping others with special educational needs. I feel i am a very nurturing person and feel like this will benefit working with children that need that extra support.
