  • Identifying market opportunities for the Indian diaspora through continuous engagement with key stakeholders across identified corporates in the UK.
  • Curating the bank's personal banking offerings by driving discussions with internal, cross-functional teams in India, and the UK.

  • Led the branch teams in identifying the right set of customers, profiling them in detail to understand and meet their banking requirements in the UK, as well as in India (NRI banking). Assisted with day-to-day operations, working efficiently and productively with all team members.
  • Imbibed the bank's culture of being 'fair to the customer, fair to the bank,' during all customer engagements. Drove the team to engage with customers with complete transparency, pride, and dignity. This also facilitated the adoption of the Consumer Duty norms across the bank's branches.
  • Established a culture of listening to the voice of customers, receiving their feedback, and continuously improving our offerings to meet customer expectations. During my tenure, the customers' feedback scores on our branches' services improved from 3.0 to 4.5 on Google and iOS platforms.
  • Identified potential catchments in the UK and set up three new branches, taking the total count of branches to ten. This will enable the bank to increase its outreach and market share in the coming years.
  • I drove personal banking business across branches. The local relationship deposit increased by 30% during my tenure. Besides, the branches also mobilized an incremental 25% NR deposit book in India, taking the bank's market share among all Indian banks from around 14% to almost 19% in two years.
  • Drove usage of the newly launched Money to India platform in the market to tap into the UK-to-India remittance market opportunity. Onboarded almost 6,000 new customers on the platform since it was launched about a year ago.

  • Managed relationships with over 50 key Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) across the country. This required assessing financial requirements of these MFIs, evaluating their financial strength to borrow, preparing proposal notes and getting the proposal approved by sanctioning authorities. I was also responsible for preparing post-sanction documents and getting them executed for disbursing the loan.
  • Responsible for monitoring the portfolio quality for business sourced through these MFIs.
  • Designed and executed various portfolio buyouts, direct assignments, and investment transactions with these MFIs. I was also involved in structured deals involving multiple banks, investors, and MFIs.
  • Handled the corporate debt restructuring of credit facilities extended to 4 MFIs based in Andhra Pradesh. This included designing and executing the debt restructuring proposal in consultation with over 30 lenders, investors of these MFIs, and their respective legal counsel.
