Planning production for semi-finished and finished goods, depending on live orders received. The approach differs for MTO or MTS materials. The role involves collaboration with departments via shared sheets to ensure order completion. I ensure when I commit to an order, it is on a basis of raw material availability, asset capacity and resource allocation. Emphasis is placed on BOM, as of a minor change can sometimes lead to spikes in the semi-finished that go in the finished goods. I analyse data for demand planning, pack size popularity and prioritise orders depending on sales forecast or contractual importance. I am part of the Colour Division and confirm orders, for officially known collaborations with customers such as Coca-Cola, Nestle, Mondelez, IMCD, Unilever & more.
My role evolved continuously, aside of my core administrative responsibilities, these are the most important achievements:
1. SOPs/TPMs, developed a business management structure and facilitated within a tight 3-month period across one site, easier access to procedures for 16 Assets. Created, reviewed, sentenced and archived obsolete processes. Configured Preventive Planned Maintenance in the CMMS System, which improved workflow and reduced risks.
2. Lean Kanban method and board design for supply replenishment. Improved exponentially the supply flow between two storage areas and communication between departments.
3. Permits to work, a tracker which gathered cleansed data of all the compliance and maintenance services. Offering valuable insight, supporting in improvement of managerial decision-making and root cause analysis.
4. Keys Index, reducing production downtime by organising intuitively all the keys of the business by asset. Created a method of long-term sustainability, procedure, rules and gave task ownership.
5. Cut yearly business costs by £12.000, analysing data of on going supplies. Switched suppliers. Gathered competitive quotes for negotiation. Compromised by switching to higher amount of supplies for less purchase orders. Created an yearly supplies pattern and gave estimated commitment. Directly improving and strengthen business relationships.
6. Structured and consolidated employees skills within the Skill Matrix, maintaining it up to date based on the SOPs/TPMs progression. Offering accurate SQL reports and income reviews.
