Archie Saunders

I am an 18 year old student currently sitting my A level exams. I have been an FA qualified football referee for 4 years allowing me to build my communication skills as well as becoming a strong and confident leader on the pitch. I have also completed work experience as an electrical engineer further enabling me to build teamworking skills as well as problem solving skills that are transferable to all aspects of my life.

• One of my greatest passions is football. I currently play for Brocton FC in Stafford. I have helped captain the U18 team to victory in the midlands floodlit league this season which is a huge achievement for not only me but the team. I have been playing football since the age of 8 years old. I have played for various different clubs building strong relationships with teammates and coaches. I also enjoy taking part in many different sports as I have played cricket for many years as well as competing in various competitions in my school team in sports such as; basketball, handball, futsal and athletics.

I have completed my Duke Of Edinburgh bronze award with a team of people in which we had to use our map reading skills and practical skills in order to navigate to a specific campsite with no technology and then spend the night. This took a lot of determination and communication in order for everything to run smoothly. I have also recently received the players player trophy for my football team showing that my teammates value me highly on and off the pitch. I have also completed my driving test which enables me to have more freedom and independence and allows me to experience new and greater opportunities.
