I am an enthusiastic and passion driven individual, I thrive from working towards targets and having high standards for any work I do. I am a well presented person with the passion to advance my knowledge of the marketing, sales and events industry. I have a strong drive to work for the World Horse Welfare charity as horses have always been a large part of my life and ever since starting my professional career it has been a desire of mine to link the two together. I am located in Nottingham, but have a family home in the Norfolk broads so I am aware of the journey length and the surrounding areas of the World Horse Welfare Head Office.

Work History

Food and Beverage Marketing Executive

  • In my current roll my aim is to deliver marketing and communications support to drive guest engagement and spend in the food, beverage and retail elements of the business
  • I ensure all marketing materials, including menus, POS and promotional literature, are briefed in on time and delivered in full to ensure operations have all the tools required to support food, beverage and retail revenue sales on village
  • This also includes organising and delivering photography for that collateral from working with the photographer to creating the brief, to working within our development kitchen to make the vision of the photography work
  • I work with the team to maintain an annual marketing plan for FBR, in conjunction with the Marketing Manager and the Head office operations team
  • To support the development of marketing plans for FBR and ensure marketing feeds into the strategic process
  • For my role specifically, I would liaise with the key stakeholders to deliver the most effective methods of communicating village facilities/activities in order that Spend per Sleeper in is optimised, In accommodation printed material, In accommodation and on-site TV channel, Poster sites around the village/POS, Specifically sited promotional videos and digital signage, Social Media and Mobile marketing, Signage and way finding, Working with the CRM team for pre arrival emails
  • I brief all of the creative work to in-house design studio, to deliver effective on-brand marketing solutions and brief all other internal marketing teams to ensure solutions are focused on key FBR priorities
  • This would be from marketing collateral to social media posts and videos and working with our growing social team on trends and new social styles
  • Alongside supporting the Food and Beverage marketing team, I have also taken an interest in additional aspects of work, such as becoming apart of the workplace committee and supporting our workplace charity by running the London marathon last year and doing various fundraising activities.

  • Coordinates the set-up of rooms and other public areas, ensuring that rooms are maintained to 'Show-round' standard when not in use by ensuring that a function room is never empty
  • Conducts daily meetings with the HOD's to discuss function detail, special requests and keep up to date with any amendments
  • Provides employees with the tools necessary to perform job responsibilities by ensuring they have all the correct information on upcoming events
  • Seeking opportunities to improve the guest experience by seeking feedback and developing strategies to improve department and hotel services
  • Giving personal attention to bride and groom to be by taking accurate notes and keeping their folder up to date so we can ensure all their needs and wishes are fulfilled
  • Having annual targets for weddings and ensuring that they are always hit successfully, this is where the sales side and drive for success comes into my job role
  • Always up selling our product, this maybe for a conference meeting or a wedding
  • Keeping our database system balanced and assuring payments are posted correctly

  • Over the 7 years I have worked in all departments in the hotel including restaurant, reception, bar, weddings and front of house host these positions were done over a number of years whilst at school and at college and were completed over all weekends and holiday time
  • On my year out from after Sixth form I specialised in bar management at the Crown Hotel and also completed my personal alcohol licence course.
