Anthony Starrs

• Following a significant career shift due to a work-related injury in December 2023, I embraced a new role in construction management with a familiar company. Specialising in documentation, I leveraged the SiteWorks app on an iPad to record dimensions, materials, and their precise locations on projects. This role not only demonstrated my adaptability but also allowed me to master new tools and significantly enhance my managerial skills.

I transitioned into the construction industry, starting with an apprenticeship at Errigal Contracts. I have gained significant expertise in plasterboard work, concrete preparation, window installation, and more, across multiple projects and trades including high-profile assignments like a 5* hotel in Monaco and for IKEA in London.

Worked in customer service roles for EE in Derry and Newcastle upon Tyne, followed by a position in the bookmakers back in Derry. During this time, I developed strong communication skills and learned how to effectively interact with the public both in person and over the phone. I became highly proficient in understanding customer service systems and processes, allowing me to resolve issues efficiently and ensure customer satisfaction. My experience has given me the ability to quickly find answers to any questions and deliver solutions with confidence.
