Leading the service of Pre-admission Clinic and managing and overseeing the daily operations of the clinic. Leading my team of nurses and other healthcare professionals, ensuring efficient patient evaluation before surgeries or procedures. Ensuring that the nurses are managing their given patients well and maintaining high quality standards. I am also responsible for staff training, resource allocation and continuous process improvement to enhance the clinic's effectiveness and patient care. I was able to expand the clinic service because of the pandemic and based on the covid policies. Our service was nominated and won The STAR Awards for Excellence Clinical Service for Cromwell Hospital Annual Staff Recognition Award.

Surgical Pathway was a collaborative project of 8 NHS Hospital with Private Healthcare to continue the service of surgery to all cancer patients during the height of the pandemic. I was part of the the team facilitating the admissions - surgery - discharge of all patients inside the hub. I work side by side with the assigned Nurse Matron from the NHS. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential in this role to drive collaboration among team members and achieve project goals - I believe that I was able to deliver that well during the entire project.

First project: Digital Pre-Assessment - abandoned due to pandemic and was moved to do a new role.

I was task to create a clinic service for Prostate Cancer Service for Cromwell Hospital, since I was the named Urology Nurse in the Surgical Unit and at the same time, I have the experienced in setting up clinic service, like what i did with Pre-admission Clinic for the Cromwell Hospital. Prostate Cancer Pathway is the service for all BUPA clients referred by the GP in all BUPA Clinics with a concern of high PSA. Patients will be directly referred to the Consultant Urologist and see the patient for initial examination, same day MRI and reporting and then plan for either same day Prostate Biopsy or elective admissions. Same service was nominated for LaingBuisson Awards in 2021. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential in this role to drive collaboration among team members. Being responsible for risks management and problem solving, Same service is still up and running, now with 4 other consultant urologist in the team.

I was task to help set up and run a Pre-assessment Clinic for Cromwell Hospital. Which eventually became Pre-admission Clinic since we do not have an anaesthetist working with us and we are not doing the whole assessment and optimizing patient's health condition. Leading the service, working with admissions team and other multi disciplinary team to provide pre-assessment care, assessing the needs of the patients, planning, implementing and evaluating pathways of care to facilitate safe and surgical journey for the patient.

Providing care to patients before and after surgical procedures. Responsibilities include monitoring patient's conditions and administering medications, assisting with pre-operative and post-operative care, and collaborating with surgical teams to ensure seamless patient management. Providing emotional support to patients and their families, maintain accurate medical records and adhere to infection control protocols. Effective communication, clinical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are important aspect of this role.
