My responsbilities as Director of Operations is to work with the CMO and CEO on strategic direction, setting targets for the year and working with the various teams, located worldwide, to achieve those targets.

My key duties are:

• Streamlining Operations: Analyzing current operational processes across departments to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks. Implementing streamlined workflows to optimize productivity.

• Design diversifying Marketing Strategies with CEOs / CMO / COO: Evaluating the existing dependency on paid advertising and developing a more diverse marketing strategy. This includes exploring organic growth channels, content marketing, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, and partnerships to reduce reliance on paid platforms.

• Process Automation: Identifying opportunities for automation in supply chain management, especially in communication and logistics, to reduce manual workload and error probability

• Cultural Revitalization: Working closely with the HR department to update the company’s mission and vision statements, ensuring they align with the current and future direction of the business.
• Employee Engagement: Developing and implementing initiatives to strengthen company culture, enhance employee engagement, and align workforce aspirations with business goals.

• Cross-Regional Collaboration: Facilitating effective communication and coordination among teams based in Spain, Dubai, China, Philippines, UK and the USA, ensuring alignment with global business objectives.

Reporting into the company founders, my role was to improve the company's processes to maximise the profit of the organisation.

The role evaluates and optimises business operations, including resources, training, HR, product production and distribution

I am accountable for influencing business-critical decisions that enable scale and deliver consistent performance whilst raising the bar for customer centricity, lowering costs, and supporting growth

Key duties:

Strategic development – working with the founders to develop, prioritise and implement strategic plans, streamline for growth, and optimise productivity

Production- Own and manage production schedules, assess projects, resource requirements and execute throughout the business units

Buying and Merchandising - Head and oversee product and packaging stock management

Developing forecasting methodologies to ensure stock is ordered on time and at the right inventory levels

Stock profit management, maintaining agreed margins and cost prices

Heading up and overseeing the SLA and supplier relations

Logistics – Management of all courier relationships including contract negotiation, ensuring agreed margin accuracy for domestic and international shipping lanes

HR – Creating a culture of continuous improvement, dedication and hard work, mentoring and supporting staff, development and implementation of KPI and values program, management of all Job descriptions, internal HR policies, recruitment, on and off boarding, Employee benefits and social committee

Technology – Cyber security – implementation of cyber security protocols including anti phishing, password security, penetration testing, code management, outbound and inbound data security

Managing operational software ensuring this is up to date and leading the implementation of new platforms, and contract negotiation

Finance – Leading the annual P&L and budget process, maintaining costs and meeting EBITDA goals, Monthly Management accounts process, heading the invoice and payment processes, FX management, and management of all 3rd party payment platforms

Legal – responsible for all legal work, including contract drafting, negotiation, and implementation- HR, Affiliates, Tenancy, off site storage, and Service Level Agreements, localising as required for international use.
