Over the past two years, I have worked as a Band 5 Paediatric Community Physiotherapist, supporting children with a wide range of neurological conditions in both mainstream and specialist school settings.
I manage a busy and varied caseload independently, working closely with families and a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care.
My role includes delivering therapy in clinics, homes, and schools, supporting post-surgical rehabilitation, providing training to school staff, and contributing to service improvements.
I have developed strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and communication skills, and continue to actively build my knowledge through CPD and additional training opportunities.
Working with children aged 0-19 years with complex needs and long-term neurodevelopmental conditions, visiting them and their
families in health centres, schools, nurseries, and their homes.
Working closely with other physiotherapists and the wider multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, nursing staff and
paediatricians.
Independently managing a large caseload, which includes a wide range of children, from those with complex needs in a SILC who need 24 hour postural management and assistance for movement, to independently mobile children who are working towards functional goals through personalised exercise programmes, and running interventions such as hydrotherapy and rebound.
