Anna Glover

Reputable and recognized professional multidisciplinary Artist and creative practitioner with long track record of bringing projects to life. Consistently developing innovative techniques to encourage and facilitate creativity. She explores her ideas by drawing on her own personal life experiences, a fusion shaped by her upbringing in Czechoslovakia and her life in Britain, ideas filled with riches of cultures, history and folklore. Her work is focused mainly on sculptural object making through layering of various materials, using found objects and upcycling as primary way of production. • Collaborated with Pennywell Community Centre and Tansy Centre in the development and delivery of Holiday Hunger activities and workshops to families with children, commissioned by Sunderland Council Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme (2020-2023).
• Built a relationship with the Culture Gallery in Vranov nad Toplou, Slovakia, to showcase an exhibition and to mentor students of local Grammar School and Design College on ecology of arts (2023).
• Supervised a team of professional artists , gallery staff members and curated an international exhibition at the Gallery , House of Culture, Vranov nad Toplou,Slovakia (2023).
• Commissioned by Crane Innovation Limited, to produce an artwork for Northumberland Metaverse Project (2023).
• Commissioned by Creative Fuse North East, in collaboration with CyberNorth to produce and showcase work for CyberFest project Crafty Cyber Eyes, Newcastle upon Tyne (2022).
• Commissioned by Youth Almighty Project to design and deliver theme based activity workshops at the annual West Area Events in Barnes Park, engaging students from 16 local Primary Schools (2019, 2021, 2022).
• Invited to take a part at AOSA, public art exhibition presented at the Embassy of Slovakia, London (2020).
• Founder of HeArts Creative Projects (2019).
• Artist residency at Canny Space (Seventeen Nineteen), Holy Trinity Church, commissioned by The Churches Conservation Trust, as an artist, assistant, guide and invigilator to public on open days (2017 - 2019).
• Commissioned by the University of Sunderland City by the Sea project to design and produce two surfboards for THE BEAM, VAUX site permanent exhibition, working as an artist and creative practitioner with children from Broadway Junior School and Bexhill Academy, Sunderland (2019).
• Mentored general public, families and students from Grangetown and Hendon primary schools on environmental responsibility and natural environments, part of ecological workshops series in Backhouse and Barley Mow Parks, organised by Friends of Backhouse and Barley Mow Parks and Sunderland City Council (2014 - 2019).
• Awarded the “Community Role Model of the Year” by VCAS, Sunderland City Council and Sunderland BaME Network (2017).
• Collaborated with team of ICOS, Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens, Embassy Of Slovakia London, St Anthony's Girls' Catholic Academy, Hudson Road Primary School in the development and delivery of Meet Your Neighbour Festival (2017).
• Collaborated with team of Sunderland Culture and Sunderland Creatives in the development of UK City of Culture Bid 2021(2017).
• Mentored students from Diamond Hall Junior Academy delivering a series of workshops focusing on environmental responsibility and upcycling, public engagement around sustainable behaviours, commissioned by Sustainable Sunderland (2016).
• Mentored students from Bishop Auckland primary schools cluster group to deliver the European Project ‘Folk Tales’ school festival, commissioned by The VAR Initiative (2014).
• Built a relationship with and was commissioned by Durham University to create a body of works 'Deus Ex Machina' and to showcase is in a solo exhibition at St. Aldan's College (2013).

HeArts Creative Projects

As a passionate artist and creative practitioner, I am on an exploration and celebration of creativity in its many forms. I fundamentally believe in the power of creative thinking not just for artistic expression, but as a vital mindset and skillset for problem-solving and personal growth.

Central to my approach is the concept of mindful creativity - fully immersing oneself in the present creative moment with consciousness and intention. I guide others in using creativity mindfully as a means of self-exploration, self-expression and cultivating inner awareness. The artistic process becomes almost meditative when mindfulness is applied. I believe that creativity is not just for artists, but a way of thinking that can be applied to all facets of life. By facilitating workshops, collaborations and community outreach, I hope to nurture creativity as a problem-solving tool that can spark innovative solutions. My vision is to be a catalyst for unleashing creativity's highest potentials.

Ultimately, founding Hearts Creative Projects is my manifested devotion to not just the arts themselves, but to the fullest spectrum of what creativity can unlock - problem-solving, innovation, mindfulness, self-discovery and community connection. I aim to share this powerful way of being creatively engaged in the world.
