I am a passionate and dedicated teacher with extensive experience in religion-based schools, teaching my specialist subject of English with a wealth of experience in teaching Religious Education also. I am able to display a gift for connecting with students of all ages and backgrounds, creating engaging and interactive lesson plans and helping students grow and develop through learning. Having taught for over ten years, I am an experienced teacher with demonstrable expertise with an an ability to use strategic classroom and behaviour management techniques to enhance student engagement and academic performance. Collaborating with staff to maximise department attainment through contributions to marking, planning and moderating lesson plans, termly planning documents and exam papers is a key strength of mine, showing a determination to promote and celebrate student success in the classroom and also in preparation for examinations. I am able to demonstrates forward-planning skills, behaviour management practices, and performance evaluation to deliver enhanced student outcomes. Coupling this with adaptable communication techniques with proven rapport-building ability, I have been able to achieve outstanding results across a variety of pupil abilities and learning levels. Possessing skills to assist students with learning development and capacity for creating dynamic and engaging lessons has proven to increase interest and motivation for students I have been responsible for and this in turn, has fostered a love of learning in my classrooms. My adaptable attitude and personal means I am comfortable in differing environments and I am committed to providing safe and inclusive classrooms. I will happily take on challenging new roles harnessing interpersonal skills, collaboration and problem-solving, particularly where bespoke intervention is required to improve pupils' target grades.
