05/2025 to 08/2025, MDG Expert, Engie, France, Paris, Joined the Global Core Team in a multi country implementation as an MDG and Roll Out Expert to roll out the Global Core Model to various countries across the Globe. 10/2024 to 01/2025, MDG Project Manager, Diageo, Took over the delivery responsibility of the S4HANA MDG Project with Finance, BP and parts of Material in scope along with a number of integration processes with supporting systems and got the team across the SIT2 milestone covering up several hundred defects ad dozens of new Change Request to achieve a solution acceptable by the business. 02/2024 to 09/2024, MDG Lead, CHG through EY, Global Core designing for Finance and BP and Material Objects, with a major focus on Anti Money Laundering Reporting. 11/2023 to 02/2024, MDG Solution Architect, ZH through 3I Consulting, Worked on a template roll out to different sites across the globe with some element of localization. 02/2022 to 04/2023, MDG Lead, Nomad Foods through Wipro, UK, Led a onsite/offshore based Wipro Team through the Design Phase of a multi country implementation based out of UK. The scope covered Finance (GL, Profit Centre and Cost Centre), VP (Vendor with Ariba and Customer) and Material. 01/2021 to 02/2022, MDG Solution Architect, CLECO through Utopia, As an MDG Architect, Anirban led an onsite, near shore and offshore team to deliver MDG Finance and BP (Customer and Material) for the US based electricity distribution company California Electricity Company (CLECO), through Utopia. This was an MDG 9 implementation on S4 HANA 1809. It involved Blueprint, Build, Test and Delivery of the solution. Additionally Anirban also acted as a Cutover Manager of the Project. 10/2020 to 12/2020, MDG Solution Architect, Corning through Utopia, As an MDG Architect, Anirban led an onsite, near shore and offshore team to deliver MDG Finance for the US based glass manufacturing company Corning, through Utopia. This was an MDG 9 implementation on S4 HANA 1809. It involved Blueprint, Build, Test and Delivery of the Business Partner and Vendor and strategising the Customer creation outside MDG. 08/2019 to 03/2020, MDG Solution Architect, Glencore through Utopia, As an MDG Architect, Anirban led an onsite, near shore and offshore team to deliver MDG Finance for the mining giant, Glencore, through Utopia. This was an MDG 9 implementation on S4 HANA 1709. It involved Blueprint, Build, Test and Delivery of the Finance Objects- GL, Cost Centre, Profit Centre, Vendor and Customer, over locations across the South Africa, Chile, Peru and Canada. Data migration with BODS. 07/2019 to 08/2019, MDG Solution Architect, Yancoal through Utopia, Australia, Anirban completed a short assignment with Utopia at Yancoal Australia, where there were some post implementation issues to be resolved in the areas of GL and Cost Centre Master. All thee six issues that were identified, were resolved and successfully UAT ed. 03/2019 to 06/2019, Finance Solution Architect, GLW through BDO, Anirban is working as a Process Lead for BDO in a Finance Process Improvement and Vendor evaluation project for Master Data Governance. 10/2018 to 03/2019, MDG Solution Architect, Mars through Cognizant, Anirban was the Lead MDG Solution architect for the Consulting Company Cognizant into their Client- Mars, the chocolate and pet food manufacturers, for custom object in MDG and a PoC for the MDG-F (GL, Profit and Cost Centre). Conducted/attended workshops for the design of MDG Finance functionality (for GL, Profit and Cost Centre with a view to map the existing processes and identification and prevention of the duplicate Master Data. Design a Change Request approval workflow. An end to end PoC for GL Master and Business Partners and their integration strategy with Central Finance (CFin). Activated and configured the MDG-S and MDG-F modules. 03/2018 to 10/2018, MDG Solution Architect, Reckitt Benckiser (RB) through Cognizant, Anirban worked as an MDG Solution Architect for RB- the MSG Project which went live in October 2018. Anirban’s responsibilities involved test managing the MDGS Processes and drawing up the To Be Process Maps in consultation with the Business for the MDG-F processes- the plan for implementation of MDG-F has now been deferred to late 2019, after the PoC was delivered and accepted. Conducted/attended workshops for the design of MDG Finance functionality (for GL, Profit and Cost Centre with a view to map the existing processes and identification and prevention of the duplicate Master Data. Establish data governance model, framework and roadmap. Implemented data quality standards and data compliance policies. Defined business process to align with data controls and governance. Defined user requirements for data governance, control and management. Defined support model for data governance. Activated and configured the MDG-S and MDG-F modules. Designed the Workflow processes keeping in mind the Segregation of Duties and aligning with the Client’s Organisation Structure for a multi country- multi brand implementation. Managed the whole of the Testing Process for MDG-S- Unit Testing to SIT till UAT (both Formal and Informal) in the ALM System. Designed the roles in MDG, getting them built and tested (only for Suppliers/Vendors). Providing inputs to the Cutover Team. 02/2016 to 02/2018, Finance Solution Architect, GSK, Anirban worked as a Senior (SAP) Finance Solution Architect for GSK, in the roll out of their CERP SAP Solution globally. He finished the roll out of the global solution into 2 markets, Taiwan and Hong Kong in 2016, being involved in the Design Finalisation, UAT, Cutover and Early Life Support (ELS). In 2017-18, Anirban led the Taiwan and Hong Kong roll out which was part of the global roll out of the financial processes across the various markets in the GSK world. The role included implementation of the core system, localisation configuration, testing and managing the data conversion for the market (HK and Taiwan). Anirban also led a Re-hosting and Archiving delivery Project, across Europe, Americas and ANZ, to cater to a particular M&A requirement between GSK and one of its partners. The scope included 9 European Markets, US, Canada and Puerto Rico and ANZ. 10/2015 to 01/2016, Finance Solution Architect, Close Brothers through Hitachi Consulting, Working for Hitachi Consulting, Anirban was the Lead Reporting Solution Architect for Close Brothers, a midsized bank for their Asset Side of the Balance Sheet, for meeting a particular legal requirement. 09/2012 to 08/2015, SAP Finance Practice Area Lead, Cognizant (permanent), Anirban led the SAP Finance Practice of Cognizant, helping the Company in the various bids and also in delivery roles for Maclaren Automotive, Boots, Cambridge Assessment and L3 Communications. Finance Solution Architect at Boots for the very complex stock tracking process, along with SAP UK, working closely with SAP UK- the process complexity involved the reduction of instances of Retail stock lost (untraceable) in transit, valuation at different plants and reporting at a Company Code level. A Post Implementation audit of the processes and their solutions to identify the weaknesses in the System and suggest quick wins, medium and long term fixes (6 months)- this was a situation where the SI had left the Client struggling with their process and reporting, after a not so successful implementation- Anirban’s role was to identify the top 5 processes, understand their challenges and suggest solutions varying from reducing the pain points through quick wins, to complete process overhaul and reimplementation of that part of the System- a 6 weeks activity led to Cognizant winning a substantial piece of work for 5 FTEs over 6 months. Assessment of the processes and suggesting the best fit SAP solution for the Greenfield site of L3 Comms- this was a aircraft pilot training simulator manufacturing company and were considering choosing the right ERP package for them- Anirban was the lead SAP Consultant in that bid- his role included, understanding the Client processes, identify the most complex one and do a Proof of Concept in the System for demonstration purposes- this included heavy usage of Project System and Resource Related Billing in SAP. Was the Cognizant Team as a Delivery Executive to deliver the WRICEF Objects and Data Conversion at Mclaren Automotive- SAP UK was the main implementers while Cognizant’s role was delivering the WRICEF Objects and full data conversion for Cutover for this very early HANA implementation in UK. The activities included, attending Design Workshops, Organising Data Workshop, Cutover Meetings, UAT and managing Dry and Actual Cutover- this was one of the first few S4 HANA implementations in UK. 09/2011 to 08/2012 (Part time), Finance Solution Architect, Sembcorp Bournemouth Water, Anirban was responsible for the implementation of the OFWAT Reporting requirements for this Utility Client by designing a compliant SAP System. 08/2011 to 08/2012, Finance Solution Architect, Close Brothers through IBM, Anirban was SAP Finance Solution Architect, where he designed the business processes, the most complex being, the Consolidation process along with the BPC Team. 04/2010 to 08/2011, Tech Design Authority, Skype through IBM, Anirban was the Technical Design Authority at Skype, which is one of IBM’s biggest Clients in the SMB sector. 11/2009 to 02/2010, Tax Design Lead, Shell through Cap Gemini, Anirban was the Tax Design Lead for Shell who is rolling out the GSAP Project to territories across the Globe. 02/2008 to 05/2009, Finance Lead, Southernwater through Wipro, Anirban was the Finance Lead for this Water Company implementation to meet the OFWAT requirements on top of IFRS. 07/2005 to 02/2008, Integration Manager, Department for Transport - DVLA through IBM (perm), Anirban started at the ERP Package selection stage, leading the P2P, O2C and R2R teams as Integration Manager for Business Process Definition, Build, support testing, Cutover and Post Implementation Support for 2 Waves. 05/2002 to 02/2005, Finance Lead, PwC UK through IBM (permanent), PROPHET was the name of the Project of the PwC UK. Anirban started the 33 months Project as the Finance Lead and moved on to become the Data Migration Lead, once the Build Phase was over and Unit Testing was completed. He led Design Workshops, Testing Sessions to Cutover Meetings/Workshops.
