Had the honour of setting up a brand new school in Qatar. Used experience and pedagogy to influence how the Kindergarten was set up in a converted villa, creating all plans, systems and resource orders needed for each individual area of learning development. Free flow could take place in a contained environment by having focus tables and child lead activities set up. Effective CPD & role-modelling used to train all staff to plan, teach and deliver the Development Matters Curriculum to untrained, non-UK staff. Advised management to purchase 'iPads' and Software needed to create the observations and reports so that pupil progress could be measured. The assessment data collected confirmed that progress was made throughout by a team of staff, pupils and parents who all have little or no English.
