Work history

School Street Volunteer

Trafford Council

I had the opportunity to work on a government-initiated project called School Street, which aimed to improve safety and accessibility for students and families during school drop-off and pick-up times. As part of the project, I assisted in temporarily closing the road directly outside the school during key hours of the day. This helped to create a car-free zone, reducing traffic congestion and making it much safer for children to arrive at and leave school. My role involved helping to set up and monitor road closures, guiding parents and students, and supporting the school staff in ensuring everything ran smoothly. I also spoke with families to explain the purpose of the project and encouraged them to walk or cycle to school. It was rewarding to see how this small change made a big difference in the atmosphere around the school. It felt calmer, safer, and more community-friendly. The experience gave me valuable insight into how local projects can support healthier, more sustainable lifestyles and improve safety for young people.

  • In my free time, I enjoy engaging in a variety of creative activities that allow me to express myself and maintain a healthy balance between work and relaxation. Painting is a passion of mine, as it helps me explore different styles, improve my attention to detail, and develop patience through visual expression. I also love cooking and baking, where I experiment with new recipes and flavours, often creating dishes from scratch. These activities not only bring me joy but also allow me to be inventive, organised, and focused on achieving satisfying results. Recently, I’ve developed a strong interest in game development, which has quickly become one of my favourite pursuits. I’ve started creating my own games with the goal of eventually sharing them online so that others can play and enjoy them. The process of designing, coding, testing, and refining each game is both challenging and rewarding, and it has taught me valuable technical skills in programming as well as logical thinking, patience, and persistence. It’s also helped me understand the importance of user experience and creative problem-solving. These hobbies keep me curious, motivated, and consistently open to learning and developing new skills, both personally and professionally.
