My Responsibilities and Duties -

  • Publish medical-related vacancies, Ensuring all details are correct:

- Correct salaries.
- Correct contact details for managers.
- Correct job descriptions attached.
- Correct criteria visible to applicants.

  • Send all applicants to managers for shortlisting.
  • Organize interview details and send out interview invites to the interview panel and applicants.
  • Liaise with the interview panel to find alternative times if interview times don't work for some applicants.


Post-Interview Tasks :

  • Send out conditional offers to those who have been offered a position.


Conduct employment checks:

  • Ensure ID and right to work meet NHS requirements.
  • Request a DBS to the correct level depending on the role or check the candidate's DBS if they have one on the update service.
  • Request all employment forms and create a file for the candidate.
  • Request qualifications that match the essential criteria for the job.
  • Request and chase all references for the 3 years of references required.

Final Steps :

  • Liaise with the candidate and appointing manager to book a start date and book the candidate onto an induction.
  • Hire the candidate on ESR once payroll has opened to create an active record with their assignment (current job role), which can be easily updated if they get a new role within the trust. This also activates their IT systems.
  • Send the contract and download the candidate's file from TRAC, organizing it into their file so that everything is saved together in one space, easily accessible to those who need access.

  • Resource / Actively recruit new staff for the team.
  • Regularly check rotas / Monitor schedules to avoid shift collisions and double bookings.
  • Ensure staff have correct compliance and documentation before supplying them to services.
  • Send references and create staff profiles.
  • Manage and archive staff profiles as required.
  • Scan documentation, ensuring all GDPR forms are signed and dated.
