As a senior maternity care professional with a passion for equity, safety, and patient-centred care, I have over 12 years of experience in maternity services within the United Kingdom's National Health Service (NHS). Currently, I lead maternity services across two hospital sites as the sole Midwife in charge of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. I developed this initiative from the ground up to ensure that every woman and family feels respected, heard, and supported.
In this role, I have been able to influence the workplace culture, enhance staff engagement, and integrate inclusive practices across clinical teams. I have played a key role in shaping care pathways that prioritize both clinical excellence and cultural sensitivity.
