Treated between 9 and 12 patient on a regular shift, I established myself as a value member of the team.

• Treated wide range of medical and surgical emergencies.
• Examined patients to assess physical wellness and collect data regarding vital signs, respiratory health and overall wellbeing.
• Generated referrals for patients in need of specialised care and completed paperwork to facilitate seamless transfers.
• Performed minor surgical procedures to alleviate symptoms of basic health issues.

On a day-to-day basis I treated the more common medical problems, such as:

• Common colds and flu
• Patients with long-term illnesses e.g. HTN, DM, Heart failure
• HIV and Tuberculosis
• Acute infections
• Draining of abscesses, excision of small cysts, fine needle aspirations
• Local anaesthetic blocks, removal of finger and toe nails
• Minor injuries and wound suture

More serious/emergency conditions:

• Cardiac chest pain
• Cerebral vascular incidents
• Acute asthma attacks
• Mental Health emergencies
• Appendicitis
• Traumatic injuries

In addition to the above treatments, I engaged in Aesthetic Medicine in offering aesthetic consultations and treatments such as:

• Botulinum toxin injections, such as Botox, for aesthetic treatments as well as treating hyperhidrosis.
• Dermal filler injections
• Medical and chemical peels
• Micro-needling
• Acne treatment
