I am a 16 year old from the Shetland Islands currently attending the Anderson High school, studying English, Maths and Physics all at higher level, as well as doing an Engineering Academy College course at UHI Scalloway.
I am a motivated, enthusiastic student with good academic achievements, and ready to take on new challenges in the next chapter of my life. I hope to begin a career at sea in electrical engineering, which i believe will be interesting, rewarding and a fast growing industry with lots of new opportunities.
I enjoy learning, and with my attention to detail I always endeavour to learn new skills fast and efficiently, producing thorough accurate work.
My main hobbies are playing football which I play for the U18's Shetland County team as centre-back, where i control the back line and take my leadership role seriously and hope this will benefit me in my career path. I also like keeping fit to keep my physical and mental health in a good place, as it helps me keep self motivated and up for new challenges everyday.
I enjoy working, and have two part time jobs, working after school, weekends and school holidays in the Workshop at Ocean Farm Services, a company in Lerwick. They operate and maintain ten vessels which service the Salmon Farms throughout Shetland. I also work as a Lifeguard for the Shetland Recreational Trust at local Leisure Centres, so although i'm only 16 i'm a well driven, hardworking individual who is willing to put in extra work to achieve bigger goals.
