- Ensuring the sports programme throughout the school provided breadth, opportunity and enjoyment for every student

- Organise whole school events such as sports photographs, sports presentation evenings, assemblies

- Ensure the sports tour programme was competitive, diverse and inclusive

- Organise and chair meetings with staff and parents and ensure that clear communication is established with tutors, Heads of Section and SLT where necessary

- Line Manage and co-ordinate the school's programme of extra-curricular activities

- Organise and staff community-based sports camps at venues

- Devise, plan and implement key strategic ideas through analysing the market to develop business growth

- Creatively market/advertise through social media and through our website

- Build cohesive teams, in order to work towards their full potential towards a common theme of ‘Have FUN, Play Sports!'

- Communicate and negotiate with staff and external managers in order to obtain venues and agree costings

- Provide an opportunity for elite sports players to have access to additional provision and representative opportunity

- Ensure a fixture list that was competitive and appropriate

- Prepare the annual budget of £22,000 and keep an accurate record of money spent

- Ensure sport engaged with the local community and with local schools

- Ensure the Sport Twitter feed was maintained and regularly updated

- Lead the year group of form tutors in a managerial and pastoral capacity

- Contribute school wide ideas and new ways of working with students

- Review and implement pupil progress and change

- Implement and monitor procedures for underperforming students

- Monitoring data and discussing results with staff, teachers and the SLT and decide on an appropriate action plan

- Refer and keep contact with outside agencies in relation to pupil behaviour, safeguarding, child protection and welfare
