Summary

I am a friendly, resourceful and confident team player with a good history of bringing out the best in the people around me, fostering a supportive environment for all. My years of leadership and management as a Primary School Headteacher and teacher give me transferable skills to support and assist the manager, staff, volunteers and all stakeholders of Hope House ty gobaith in Ludlow to make a positive impact on charitable initiatives, targets and service. I can work in high pressure environments, working collaboratively to achieve targets and promote the charity. My recent voluntary work in a local charity shop has equipped me with new skills in relation to the retail environment and has inspired me to want to pursue a career in this sector, working collaboratively to make a real difference to the children, families, and the community.

I have strong inter-personal skills, a dedicated, dependable work ethic and I am a quick learner. If I am lucky enough to be selected for interview I look forward to the opportunity to discuss with you my enthusiasm for working alongside the Hope House shop manager and wider team to help achieve the charities goals.

Additional Information

I have 30 years of teaching experience. I left my Headteacher post in January 2020 to support my wife when she started her cancer treatment. Since then we have been living well, enjoying time together, travelling, theatre and music. I formally took early retirement in February 2024 and have continued to volunteer in a number of ways including a Charity shop, the foodbank and supporting friends with house and garden renovations. My time in the local Charity shop has inspired me to want to apply for this role and to  work collaboratively with those at Hope House to provide a rewarding service for as many families as possible.
