Localisation & Mapping Team Member - 09/25 to Present

• Contribute to the development of an Autonomous Driving System, as part of a large interdisciplinary engineering team integrating mechanical, electrical, and software sciences, competing against universities across the United Kingdom at Silverstone.
• Work within a large, well-established Git based robotics codebase, iterating on years of accumulated team knowledge across hundreds of ROS packages, with a primary focus on the vehicle localisation and mapping subsystem.
• Develop ROS 2 packages in C++ and Python, integrating them into the autonomy stack via structured Git workflows, involving analysis of inter-node communication, writing launch configurations, and resolving dependency and runtime issues.
• Specialised in implementation and testing of SLAM algorithms, through integrating cone detections with odometry, and designing map-cleanup and filtering logic to reject inconsistent or invalid observations of track boundary, improving map stability and localisation accuracy.
• Validate system performance using visualisation and evaluative tools (Foxglove, RQT Graph) to improve overall robustness.

Dana Petroleum Document Control Project

Software Developer - 12/25 to 01/26

• Designed and implemented an automated document control system integrated into Word to standardise technical documents.
• Worked across entire technical development process; requirements analysis, research, algorithm design, implementation, and iterative testing.
• Developed system as a macro-enabled Word template using VBA, learning and adapting designs to a single-threaded execution model that prioritises robust computation.
• Designed a simple and accessible user interface, defined as a custom Word ribbon in XML and integrated with VBA macros for document control functionality.
• Adopted a regenerative strategy for key document sections, promoting reliability against all error cases, through extraction, classification, and reconstruction of information in alignment with formatting guidelines.
• Optimised document identification using heuristic detection and bookmarking, using a probabilistic scoring approach to recognise and group existing document features with robustness to structural variation.

Edinburgh University Hyperloop Engineering

Propulsion Team Member - 09/24 to 02/25

• Worked within the propulsion team on development and testing of a linear induction motor, the key component of the hyperloop pod responsible for linear acceleration.
• Applied practical skills in electronics to motor control systems, including error diagnosis, iteration of microcontroller, electrical testing, soldering, and component maintenance.
• Collaborated across a multidisciplinary engineering team spanning electrical, mechanical, and physical sciences.

Online Conversation Analytics Project

Software Developer- 10/24 to 12/24

• Developed a data analysis program using Haskell to process tens of thousands of messages from CSV files, implementing a custom red–black tree structure equipped with tailored insertion, deletion, and balancing operations for efficient evaluation.
• Applied functional analytics over data to extract valuable insights including frequency of key words and phrase, media usage, trends and communication patterns over time.
• Generated a web interface at runtime using HTML, CSS, to present statistical analysis through interactive visualisation with JavaScript and structed reports.

A qualification presented by the Royal Life Saving Society UK, certifying competence in pool lifeguarding, including accident prevention, emergency response and rescue techniques, with first aid in accordance to national safety standards.

A qualification presented by Trinity College London recieved at the level of distinction, which involved learning and performing 3 musical pieces in varying styles, demonstrating technical abilities through excercises and scales, and responding to musicianship testing.

Grassmarket Community Project (Edinburgh)
Open Door Meals Volunteer - 11/25 to Present

• Support weekly community meal events serving up to 70 homeless or vunerably housed people, through venue preparation, catering, washing dishes, and cleaning to deliver a free 2-course meal.
• Collaborate with other volunteers and staff members to maintain an organised service standard, while promoting a safe and respectful environment.
