§ Music / Pianist – I also have had an enormous interest in music for a long time now, in fact since I was 5 I started to play the piano, and from this I have developed the skills and determination to play music, starting with music in primary school to music GCSE in secondary school, and then continued in six form where I have completed a two year BTEC course, which by the end of it, I had gained 2 A levels in music. For a long time now I have had lessons in music, and currently can play a wide range of musical genre from jazz, pop, classical. To this current day of 2009 I continue to play the piano in my spare time always looking for improvement so that my music is up to the best standard, and I would say that I would also consider a future career in music.

§ Sports

§ ICT - With An AS in ICT and also a GCSE I have an enormous interest in this subject, to the current day I have always been a lover of computers and I have spent many hours repairing and manually starting computer operating systems from scratch, when I was about 11 I realised that I had this strong interest in ICT, and I have had some computers over the years, and I believe that from this I have been able to demonstrate my skills in able to produce a quick and reliant computer, and most of this knowledge has just from gaining information from books or the internet and also my qualifications. For example listed below are some of the tasks I have carried out to this current day with computers.

§ Starting an operating system from scratch – Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP and 98.

§ Learning how Antivirus software works and choosing the best software package that is appropriate for the computer.

§ Networking – Been able to connect to the internet through wireless and also main Ethernet line, but connections are different in different windows operating systems, especially when starting an operating system from scratch which means installing the appropriate software so that the computer or laptop will run quickly and efficiently.

§ Installing Software

§ Adding RAM (Random Access Memory) – Required in order for some windows operating systems to work e.g. windows 7 – requires 1GB to work efficiently and quickly.

§ Learning about how a computer or laptop operates and how room conditions can affect a system, and what happens when a computer has a fault or potentially is not working to its best, which sometimes with older operating systems requires allot of work.
