As a well-rounded self-taught digital marketer, I have over 6 years of experience in all areas of online marketing, having previously founded and successfully sold my own e-commerce business.
During this time, I gained deep hands-on knowledge in Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, email marketing, and organic social media, building the business from scratch into a profitable brand. I personally created and optimised all digital ad campaigns, managing between £15K and £25K in monthly Google ad spend after being disappointed by the results provided by marketing agencies.
Alongside paid media, I developed a strong understanding of content-led SEO and link-building strategies, increasing organic traffic to over 700 visitors per day using only white-hat techniques in a competitive niche. I also grew and managed an engaged community across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, while building a 110,000-strong email list and running both Klaviyo and Brevo in tandem, regularly achieving over 1000% ROI through targeted campaigns, list segmentation, and behavioural automation.
More recently, I’ve expanded my experience by working as a Marketing Executive at a digital agency, where I focus primarily on SEO with additional responsibilities in Google Ads. I’ve worked across a wide range of client accounts, from service-based businesses to DTC e-commerce brands, adapting strategies to fit different budgets, platforms, and business goals. I’ve enjoyed the client-facing aspect of the role, regularly presenting performance reports, recommending improvements, and developing strong communication skills while managing multiple accounts across various other platforms.
After selling my previous e-commerce business, I joined Bird Marketing in July 2024 as a Marketing Executive. My role involves delivering digital marketing strategies for a wide range of clients across both service-based and e-commerce businesses, with a strong focus on SEO and additional responsibilities in Google Ads.
I work with a diverse client base, presenting monthly performance reports, recommending strategy improvements, and adjusting activity based on business type, goals, and client budget. The role has given me solid agency-side experience, significantly improved my client communication skills, and helped develop my ability to manage multiple accounts while delivering tailored results across different industries.
My day-to-day SEO work includes keyword research, creating content briefs, optimising on-page elements such as metadata, improving internal linking structures, and carrying out tailored link-building campaigns. I’ve also worked on technical SEO issues, including Core Web Vitals, such as CLS and LCP, often collaborating directly with developers to resolve them. I’ve delivered this work across a variety of content management systems and website platforms.
I’ve gained further PPC experience by setting up and managing Google Ads campaigns – including lead generation and Performance Max – across a range of client accounts. This has exposed me to a wide variety of account setups and campaign challenges, including budget planning, feed disapprovals, and conversion tracking issues. I’ve managed campaigns for clients at different budget levels and regularly adapted strategies based on performance data and business objectives.
Tools I use regularly include Ahrefs and Google Keyword Planner for keyword research, Screaming Frog for technical audits, Yoast SEO for content optimisation, Google Tag Manager for tracking setup, Google Search Console for monitoring visibility and indexing, and GA4 for analysing campaign performance and traffic trends.
